Worth It!

I just set the fountain down and so far my cats are loving it. This is the most water I’ve ever seen my 3y/o cat drink in one sitting. She’s been sitting at the fountain for nearly 5 minutes slurping up water. It was easy enough to set up. So far so good, but I will update down the road if I have issues with it!

sweet upgrade to filter based water fountains

so it finally happened and my old water fountain bit the dust after i think a good 3 years .thought that i should upgrade to a less maintenance fresher water option since all the old one did was to recirculate and mix clean and dirty water and barely clean it through its filter, did consider that one big model that is like 3 times this one but i decided that it was a bit much since this one did most of the same things that i was looking for , 2 different containers for fresh and old water. which is the main reason i went for this type of fountain anyway.i was a bit intrigued at first because i thought that it would recirculate clean water tank and then dump every 24 hours but nah it does it even better, it recirculates ONLY the water on the bowl which is great and exactly what i wanted, as it will allow me to add my dental supplement to the clean water without contaminating the clean water with "licked" residue which is fantastic as it means fully fresh water with fresh dental supplement in it.i got the black one cuz i preferred that color since her hard food feeder is the same color and it fits great with it.easy to unpack and setup, plastic feels durable as its not thin, just right for rigidity and all connects using magnets.i got the the model without the app because i don't feel the app adds much value, i will see the water levels daily and if i need to, i can just push the button to drain the bowl.i feel like going without the app just simplifies things and so far it has worked great. simple deal. automatically drains water every 24 or 48 hours ( however i set it at) which is as easy as pressing a button and if i want to drain. boom another button. THATS IT.No app to have to look at, and its great value for what it does, as it keeps clean water safely stored until its time to dispense it in a metal bowl which is the ideal type of material for bowls.i run my water fountain mode continuously though you can set it to turn on only when it senses movement and the battery backup guaranties the little one won't be thirsty if the power goes out.in battery mode, the fountain will turn on only when kittie approaches and turn over water as expected.great functions while looking good and NO FILTER at a decent price i would say. so far i am impressed by this one.

Easy fountain for picky cats

I’ve been really happy with the HAPAW Filterless Cat Fountain. I was looking for a water fountain for my cats because I wanted to encourage them to drink more water, but I didn’t want the hassle and ongoing expense of constantly buying and replacing filters. That’s one of the main reasons I decided to try this one, and so far, it has been a great addition. The biggest thing I noticed is how much easier it is to maintain compared with a traditional filtered fountain. Not having to worry about ordering replacement filters or remembering to change them is a huge convenience. I can take the fountain apart, clean the different pieces, refill it with fresh water, and put it back together without feeling like there are a bunch of complicated parts to deal with.

Happy Cats 🐈

Just purchased 5 days ago . It does exactly what it entails . Today I cleaned it . I’m happy with the purchase. The one I had I thought it was the best thing but those are not great and buying filters all the time and realizing when you cleaning it out the waters is slimy and that is what my cats were drinking. Just follow the directions which are easy . The QR code in booklet was not great because it goes to utube and it’s a customer talking about the unit and those reviews are not great , I thought it would be the company explaining the unit . Other than that I’m happy and my cats are too ☺️🐈

It works!

Excellent purchase for me. I have a diabetic cat. He drinks frequently and it’s very important to keep his water fresh. This is the perfect solution.

Bought two, only one semi works, would not recommend especially not for the price.

The media could not be loaded.

Bought two of these one works okay, second one just doesn’t work it won’t replace the water every 24 hours or 48 hours it will only release it if I switch modes and manually make it release. The defective one also makes a horrible whirling noises half the time it’s on which terrifies my boy cat who has urinary issues so I really can’t have him scared of drinking water. Also “continuous” mode doesn't work as presented, it doesn’t vibrate the water to appear that it is “moving” I don’t know if this is a flaw in just both of my mine or if it’s just false advertising. In the ‘one that works it’ it will slowly dip a tiny drop every once in a while, the other one that just doesn’t not work doesn’t even do that. The concept of these fountains are amazing especially considering that my boy cat loves to dip his toys in his fountain making it catnip tea but I was highly disappointed by the actual design and the flaws with it especially because it cost so much money! I wish I could recommend this product but I would suggest spending your money elsewhere.

I really liked it but it sucks. DO NOT BUY

Broke a week after use. Set it up according to the instructions. I did one empty and refill, now the machine won’t empty in mode 1 and will overfill in both modes. I really liked it, but I’m very upset I had to clean a puddle off my floor. Just save your time and money and get a different product

No app for this model; clean the dish frequently.

The cat likes it. He came to it immediately and started drinking. He likes moving water which is why I’m using a fountain at all and it improves his water intake.. I’m using it in mode 2, which means it circulates only when he approaches it.This model does not have an app. This is P003. If you want the one you can use with the app, it’s P002. It can be confusing if you’re asking questions about this one in the P003 listing, because some of the answers actually apply to the P002. For example, I wanted to know how to manually trigger emptying the water dish into the waste water tank. When I asked the question in the P003 listing, it talked about using the app which I eventually figured out applied to the P002. Initially, I did not even know there were two versions. My bad. BTW It is possible to press the mode button and trigger emptying the dish into the waste tank. What I want to know now is how to empty the water dish into the waste tank and keep it from filling automatically until I’ve had a chance to clean the sponge and the dish. I’ve only had it since last night, so hopefully I will figure that out.I bought this to replace a metal recirculating fountain that collected a lot of cat food from my cat’s face in the single tank. He’s messy and I feed him wet food. Which meant that the tank almost immediately became contaminated with cat food, which sat there and did what food does in water until I changed the water and washed the tank and the pump. The food in the water dish looked clean, but wasn’t. So having both a freshwater and a waste water tank was a very attractive idea.If I’m correct, and I would welcome corrections, this fountain does not totally solve that issue although I believe it’s a lot better. What I did not figure out at first, and what I think I now understand, is that when food lands in the water dish, and the water is circulating, the food does not immediately drop into the waste tank. I hoped that it did, but the description did not actually say that – it was an assumption on my part. My bad. The water dish drains into the waste tank only at the scheduled 12 or 48 hours or if you manually trigger it. So, any cat food that lands in the dish will either settle to the bottom of the dish, get caught in the sponge, or, less likely, travel into the tubes that allow the water to circulate. As I said, corrections are welcome, but that’s what it looks like to me so far. I don’t think it can actually get into the pump. I hope not. To get into the tubes, it would have to pass the little sponge, which hopefully will catch most of it and which can be cleaned easily. What I have noticed so far is that particles of food fall into the bottom of the water dish and stay there.I’m home a lot, so I can monitor the situation. I can manually trigger dumping the water dish into the waste tank. I can wash the sponge. I can use a syringe to draw out bigger cat food particles, which although not ideal may help a little. But it’s definitely not a set it and leave it for a few days situation, at least not with my cat.I’m considering returning this one and getting the app based one —has anyone used the app based fountain and do you like it?Update: so, in order to clean the fountain you have to turn it off. Seems obvious, but be aware that you cannot turn it off if it is attached to house power. First: disconnect from house power.Next, drain the water dish into the waste tank by pressing the mode button. Then, immediately turn the unit off by pressing the on/off button. I’m not sure exactly how long it takes but it’s more than a quick push. If you do not do this, the dish will quickly automatically refill on battery power. After that, do whatever degree of cleaning you want. I am doing a dish and sponge cleaning every day because the dish gets a little slimy, even if I have been removing visible cat food particles. I am using a screwdriver to pop out the sponge cover, and I’m finally remembering which way it goes to put it back in. It snaps in easily if it is oriented correctly. This would also be a good time to clean the tanks, refill the freshwater tank, etc. Other reviewers have mentioned cleaning the pump area, but I have no idea how this is done. I do see instructions in the manual for descaling the interior pump using effervescent tablets and or baking soda but this is recommended at about the three month interval and I don’t know if it’s really needed if you have soft water. When you are finished and everything is back together, press the on button and reconnect to house power if desired. If anybody’s found a better method, by all means, please post. The manual is short and general, and the YouTube video presently accessed through the QR code in the paper manual is a user video, not produced by the company and doesn’t include a lot of detail. And some of us need detail.I have decided to keep this model rather than getting the app based model, now that I have figured a few things out. My cat continues to use...
